Ice Seguerra Explores His Love for Musical Theater in ‘Ice Sings!’
Acclaimed OPM singer-songwriter Ice Seguerra is stepping away from his signature acoustic hits to embrace a lifelong passion for musical theater in his upcoming live concert series, Ice Sings!. For its first installment, Ice Sings! Part 1: Broadway & Disney, Seguerra will perform some of the most beloved songs from Broadway and Disney, revisiting the music that helped shape his artistry from an early age.
Originating from his interactive YouTube show, the concert series brings together Broadway classics, Disney anthems, and an international collaboration with renowned Filipino-American musical director Troy Laureta. For Seguerra, the project is an opportunity to explore a musical side of himself that audiences rarely get to see.
Fans expecting Seguerra’s iconic acoustic hits may be surprised to find them completely absent from the lineup. Instead, Ice Sings! focuses on the songs that shaped his early musical development and his lifelong love for theater—a passion first cultivated by his mother and further inspired by his childhood admiration for Lea Salonga.
“Out muna ’yung hits,” Seguerra said, explaining that Ice Sings! gives him the freedom to explore music beyond the acoustic box the industry has placed him in. From an initial shortlist of 50 songs, the setlist was eventually narrowed down to 20 tracks, carefully arranged into an emotional narrative that explores themes of friendship, grief, and self-acceptance.
The concert also marks Seguerra’s first official collaboration with Troy Laureta, whose international musical-directing credits include work with Ariana Grande, Nicole Scherzinger, David Foster, and Stevie Wonder. His involvement adds another dimension to a production that remains deeply personal to Seguerra.
Despite the high-profile creative team, Ice Sings! at the Music Museum is designed to retain an intimate, living-room feel—mirroring the relaxed atmosphere of Seguerra’s YouTube series. Producer Liza Diño noted that the creative direction is centered on bringing audiences closer to Seguerra’s personal emotional journey and allowing them to experience the stories behind the music.
Diño and Seguerra also addressed recent discussions surrounding concert recording policies. They clarified that short fan clips taken to document personal concert memories are welcomed. The concern, however, is with unauthorized users uploading lengthy portions or entire 50-minute segments of the concert to pirate and monetize copyrighted live performances.
Seguerra echoed the sentiment, drawing a distinction between capturing a personal memory and reproducing an entire live experience online, likening full concert bootleg uploads to filming inside a movie theater.
Ice Sings! Part 1: Broadway & Disney happens on November 6 and 7, 2026, at the Music Museum. Tickets are available through premier.ticketworld.com.ph
