Rotary Club of Metro East Taytay Lights Up World Polio Day with Action, Awareness, and Awesome Energy
When service meets passion, amazing things happen!
This October 24, the Rotary Club of Metro East Taytay (RCMET) and the Rotaract Club of Metro East Taytay (RACMET) teamed up to celebrate World Polio Day in the coolest way possible — through a 3-in-1 Service Project that blended action, learning, and community love.
One Drop, One Future: Patak Polio
No cape needed — just one powerful drop!
Kids from Sitio Dayap, Brgy. San Roque, Angono, Rizal received their Poliomyelitis vaccines, protecting them from polio and giving them a lifetime of health.
Thanks to the awesome team from the Municipal Health Office of Angono, Rizal, every “patak” became a promise — a step closer to a world free from polio.
I-Wash to Iwas Sakit: Because Clean Hands Are Cool
Who says hygiene can’t be fun?
Through games, laughter, and colorful demos, kids and parents learned the importance of proper handwashing. Clean hands, healthy lives — and a whole lot of happy smiles!
Rotary Market: End Polio Now!
Service met creativity at the Rotary Market, where members turned awareness into action. With energy, compassion, and teamwork, RCMET and RACMET showed that helping others can be both meaningful and seriously cool.
Powered by Teamwork, Driven by Purpose
Leading the charge were GP Don Santiago, SAG Marilyn Santos, and Service Director Ariel Espino, together with the unstoppable members of RCMET and RACMET — all serving with passion, heart, and purpose.
Big shoutout to President-Elect Elmer Deloritos and the Municipal Health Office of Angono, Rizal for making this mission possible with their incredible support.
“Every drop, every visit, and every act of service brings us closer to a world where no child suffers from polio again,” the team shared — proving that when people care, real change happens.
Together, We’re Making History
From one drop to global change — the Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of Metro East Taytay are showing what it means to serve with style, purpose, and unity.
We’re not just close — we’re THIS CLOSE to ending polio for good!
Because when we serve together, the world gets better.
